In ihrem neuen Bilderzyklus „Blue“ beschäftigt sich PetraEveline Dahmen mit der Farbe Blau in der Natur.
Blau ist die am meisten in der Natur vorkommende Farbe. Nicht nur der Himmel und das Wasser erscheint uns blau, sie kommt auch häufig in vielen Tier- und Pflanzenarten vor. Es ist eine der Grundfarben im Farbkreis und wird als eine kühle und beruhigende Farbe betrachtet, wir assoziieren damit auch Weite, Tiefe und Freiheit. Symbolisch steht Blau für Vertrauen, Loyalität, Treue. Es ist eine Farbe die Klarheit, Kühle und Ruhe ausstrahlt. In einer Welt, die immer mehr von Technologie und Fortschritt geprägt ist, ist es wichtig, sich daran zu erinnern, dass wir ein Teil der Natur sind und dass wir uns um sie kümmern müssen.

It is one of the primary colours in the colour wheel and is considered a cool and calming colour, we also associate it with vastness, depth and freedom. Symbolically, blue stands for trust, loyalty, fidelity. It is a colour that radiates clarity, coolness and calm. In a world that is increasingly characterised by technology and progress, it is important to remember that we are part of nature and that we need to take care of it.
